St Marys Church, Broadwater

St Marys church in Broadwater is another project realised by Lee Evans Partnsership of Canterbury. The reordering of this small parish church revolved primarily around the upgrading of the heating system. Last tampered with by the Victorians, the floor of St Marys was refurbished in the summer of 2009 using a completely 'dry installed' floor construction. This new to England dry installed concept was attractive to the architect, the local building inspectorate, the client, the DAC and Sussex Archeology as it not only removed any potentially damaging wet trades, it also preserved the original floor and any possible archeology for future generations.
